Frequently Asked Questions

What is your Jewelry made out of?

We use Sterling Silver, 14K Gold Filled and Bronze for the metal. Hand cut Gemstones: natural or enhanced, Freshwater Pearls and Crystal or Cubic Zirconia for color and sparkle. Every item is listed with country of origin if you are curious. I try to source the most consistent and beautiful material that I can.

What is 14K Gold Filled?

When you buy high-quality, 14k gold filled products, you get top notch quality jewelry at an affordable price. It's that simple. The term "Gold filled" is a regulated industry standard that requires the jewelry's metal to consist of at least 5% solid gold by weight. Multiple layers of solid 14k gold are bonded with extreme heat over a high quality core of jeweler's brass. This process results in high-quality and durable jewelry. It looks & feels just like solid gold.

How do I care for my jewelry?

The best practice is to always put your jewelry on last after cosmetic and beauty products are used. It is the chemicals in these products that can adversely affect any metal. When you are not wearing your jewelry, it’s best to put them away in an air tight container, simple plastic bag, or a drawer. If your jewelry is looking dull, you can drop in a little cup of water, with mild soap, swish around and rinse and dry. If the metal has darkened or tarnished, you can have cleaned professionally or search cleaning tips.

What is your packaging for an order?

I believe in minimal packaging and strive to find recyclable elements when I can. Your charms will be packaged on a charm card; Necklaces or Earrings on a card.  This helps keep the item safe when shipping. I use poly bags, glassine bags and bubble wrap when needed. My goal is to balance the fine line between getting the package to you as safe as possible but also do it with minimal outer wrapping.

Where do you ship from?

My business is in Portland, Oregon so your package is coming from the West Coast. I am lucky to have USPS and Fedex drop off locations close to my studio. I personally take all packages to be shipped.
